About me

Honest, Holistic, Human.
I’ve been a GP in Westhoughton for over 25 years, and throughout my career I’ve always had a strong interest in women’s health. Over time I noticed just how many women were struggling with menopausal symptoms – often quietly, often feeling confused or unsupported. When I experienced my own perimenopausal changes, it brought the issue into even sharper focus.
That experience sparked a deeper curiosity and led me to develop specialist knowledge and further qualifications in menopause management, sexual and reproductive health, lifestyle medicine and clinical sexology.
My aim
To empower women with clear, evidence-based information, challenge common myths around menopause, and help women move through menopause with confidence and clarity.
Changing the conversation
I’m actively involved in education and awareness. I co-founded Her Health Hub with Dr Bev Matta, where we deliver menopause education programmes for workplaces, helping organisations better support women at work.
I also speak in local communities and schools, making women’s health clearer and more accessible. Women deserve to understand their bodies, recognise when something isn’t right, and know exactly where to turn for support. Even if you aren't experiencing it yourself, menopause will almost certainly affect someone you care about – a partner, friend, family member, or colleague.
